Description

This 3-hour driving tour takes you on a journey of the “Wild West” beginning with the larger-than-life Centennial Land Run Monument. One of the largest bronze sculptures in the world, this monument depicts the Land Run of 1889.

Put on your spurs and continue to Stockyards City to immerse yourself in the Cowboy culture. Stockyards City, formerly known as “Packingtown”, is virtually untouched since the early 20th century. It remains home to the Oklahoma National Stock Yards, the world’s largest feeder and stocker cattle market. Take a moment to shop for an outfit, a new pair of boots, or an Oklahoma treat.

An expedition to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum completes our journey with more than 28,000 Western and American Indian art works and artifacts. This institution is also home to the world’s most extensive collection of American rodeo photographs, barbed wire, saddlery, and early rodeo trophies.
